Hello there! I’m Christina Cartwright, a skilled artist specializing in creating captivating illustrations and stunning book covers. With a degree in visual communications that I earned in 2003, I’ve spent years honing my craft and bringing stories to life through my art. In addition to illustrations and book covers, I have extensive experience designing characters, posters, Facebook banners, and even websites. If you’re looking for eye-catching visuals that will grab the attention of your audience, I’d be delighted to work with you. Let’s bring your ideas to life!
I live in the small town of Mount Vernon, Indiana, where I share a cozy home with my amazing husband, Tom, and our playful cat, Gypsy. When I’m not immersed in my work, you can find me indulging in my love for books, enjoying my favorite TV shows, spending quality time with my mom and going to doctor appointments.
To accurately describe the process of creating my artwork, I utilize a combination of digital tools and software. Primarily, I rely on Photoshop and a Wacom tablet for drawing and illustrating. In addition, I incorporate 3D graphic programs like Poser and Daz Studio to enhance my creations. Occasionally, I also use photographs into my work, using both my own photography and licensed images from reputable photo resource websites. If you have any further questions, please feel free to consult my FAQ page.
To assist authors in successfully publishing their books, I offer guidance on using Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), a free service provided by Amazon. The process of publishing with KDP may seem daunting at first, but with proper guidance, it becomes much more manageable. As part of my services, I have created a helpful PDF guide designed to assist authors who may be unsure of where to begin. I am pleased to share this valuable resource with you, which can be accessed through one of the articles I have published HERE.

So that’s all there is about me! Thank you for visiting my website and let me know if I can help you with your next illustration project!
UPDATE:
December 15th of 2023 I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. I undergo chemotherapy treatments every two weeks. It’s been a year, and the cancer has significantly reduced in size. I’ve lost most of my hair and about 40 pounds, yet I am surviving. I joke with people that I resemble the elderly woman from the bathtub scene in Stephen King’s movie “The Shining.” Nevertheless, I continue to work, and I am ALIVE…ALIVE!
