Book Covers For Self Publishing

Please use the check list below:​

Layout

• Who publish/print your book? Will it be Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing, Ingram Spark, or some other self publishing company? When using Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing, I can go and get the template myself with their template creator. If you are going to use Ingram Spark or Book Baby, you will have to get the template through your account and send the template to me.
• Give me the title of your book and also the name of the author as you want it to appear on your cover.
• Do you know the dimensions of your book yet? Books that are 6 x 9 are the standard size.
• If you are making a printed book I will need to know your page count so I can calculate how thick your spine will be.
• Printed books always have text on the back side which describes what the book is about. Please send me the text for your back cover if you are creating a book for print.

Descriptions

• What you would like to see on the cover? – Please keep in mind that we have a small area to work with and I will do everything I can to create the cover of your dreams. The cover art can display an important scene that happens in your book.
• If there are any specific characters that you want to go onto the cover, please let me know what the important details are. Some examples are, what are their ages and what is their race. What are the colors of each characters hair. How do you want your characters to be dressed?
• Let me know about the geographical area of your story. Will there be mountains, hills, or a beach and what will the weather be like? What is the time era of your story?
• Do you want art work on the front side only or do you want the full wrap around cover art where there is artwork across the front, spine and back?

Book covers for self publishing do not have to be difficult to achieve. Please contact me for more information!
